How it Works

Whether you have a few hours a month or more time to give, your involvement supports the health of the Mullum Mullum Valley and helps others connect with its natural beauty.

While no experience is generally required to get involved, we’re happy to work with you to explore your interests and skills and find ways you can contribute. At times, however, some volunteer activities may rely on specific skills or expertise.

Current Opportunities

We are currently seeking volunteers to help with the following.

On the Ground

Working bees

Hands-on bushland care alongside other volunteers — planting, weeding, and maintaining tracks in the reserve.

Crafting

Microscope dust cover

Make a heavy-duty fitted dust cover for our digital microscope — a one-off project for someone handy with sewing or upholstery.

Communications

Social media

Help share the story of Yarran Dheran online — posting updates, photos, and news from the reserve.

Behind the Scenes

Administration

Support the committee with general administrative tasks — a flexible role suited to anyone with organisational skills.

Collections

Completing our collections

Help us source missing items from collections held by the committee — including the Tuckfields Bird Card Series.

Publications

Wattles of Yarran Dheran brochure

Help develop a new brochure documenting the wattle species found in the reserve — a project for someone with research, writing, or design skills.
