What’s flowering in Yarran Dheran in late spring? Have you seen a plant and wondered what it is?

Join experienced botanist and walk leader Tony Slater for an informative presentation and guided walk through Yarran Dheran. Tony will introduce the diversity of flowering plants and shrubs found in the reserve at this time of year.

During the walk, we will photograph plants and use iNaturalist to help identify them. Every photo you share:

• Contributes to the City of Whitehorse Citizen Science project, documenting native plants and animals across Whitehorse during the Great Southern BioBlitz from 27–30 November 2026.

• Adds to a global scientific record used by researchers worldwide.

• Becomes part of the Atlas of Living Australia, Australia’s national biodiversity database.

Please wear suitable footwear. The event will be cancelled in the event of adverse weather. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
