Celebrate Mothers Day with a peaceful guided bird walk through Yarran Dheran Bushland Reserve, part of the environmentally significant Mullum Mullum Valley and the wildlife corridor along Mullum Mullum Creek to the Yarra River in Templestowe.

This special morning offers a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and share time together in beautiful bushland habitat. The Reserve attracts at least 60 different bird species, some permanent residents and others nomads or seasonal migrants, including species not often seen in an urban reserve. Recent sightings include an Australian Nightjar and the Olive-backed Oriole, a regular spring visitor currently nest building.

Whether you’re celebrating with your mum, honouring a mother figure, or simply enjoying a quiet start to the day, all are welcome.

Please bring binoculars if you have them and wear suitable walking shoes.
The event will be cancelled in the case of extreme weather.
